VOV.VN - The ship CSB 8005 under the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 of Vietnam in collaboration with a Vietnamese fishing vessel have rescued five Chinese crew members of a sinking ship in the waters off Con Dao island in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The Vietnam Maritime Research and Rescue Coordination Centre (Vietnam MRCC) said on December 29 that it had rescued a 33-year-old Chinese sailor of a foreign cargo ship, who fell seriously ill while the ship was about 21 nautical miles off Nha Trang city in the south central province of Khanh Hoa.

Nine critical ill sailors in a suspected food poisoning case on a Chinese vessel have been saved after being taken to the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, said a local health official.
