VOV.VN - Hanoi is set to bring into operation a network of 1,837 AI-enabled cameras and smart traffic signals to strengthen monitoring and traffic management. While most road users comply with regulations, violations remain visible, including running red lights, lane encroachment, riding without helmets, mounting pavements, and illegal stopping or parking.
AI-powered cameras will replace police, automatically detect violations around the clock, and send violation notifications within 2 hours, according to the Traffic Police Department.
Hundreds of AI-powered cameras with advanced traffic management and enforcement capabilities are being deployed across Hanoi, aiming to replace traffic police on the streets by December 18.
