World leading cueists to gather for world 10-ball men’s championship in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City for the first time will play host to the 2025 Predator WPA World 10-Ball Men’s Championship, due to take place from September 17 to 28.

The tournament helps HCM City to become a new destination for the world billiards community, after the Philippines and the United States, which are the two superpowers of this sport.
The tournament will bring together the world's top 96 players, including reigning champion Carlo Biado, alongside outstanding faces, namely Fedor Gorst, Joshua Filler, and Shane Van Boening.
Vietnam has decided to send two cueists Duong Quoc Hoang and Pham Phuong Nam to compete in the tournament.
World’s leading cueists will vie for total purse of US$250,000, with the winner set to pocket US$70,000.
The tournament is divided into two stages. It opens with a double-elimination format to select the best 32 players. From there, players enter a single-elimination stage to seek the winner.
In addition, HCM City will stage the Poison Cues Saigon Women’s 9-Ball Open and the Box Billiards Mixed Doubles Open.
The series of events, jointly organised by Box Billiards, Predator, and the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation, provides an opportunity to promote the image of HCM City to the world.
