World Ice Skating Day 2025 highlights family togetherness and love
VOV.VN - The Skating Federation of Vietnam (SFV), in coordination with the International Skating Union (ISU) and Vincom Retail Joint Stock Company, held World Ice Skating Day 2025 at Vincom Ice Rink Royal City in Hanoi and Vincom Ice Rink Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City on December 14.
This year’s event, themed “Family on Ice – The Rhythm of Love,” aims to ignite a passion for skating and foster family togetherness and love through the artistic sport on ice.
Organizers hope to turn the ice rinks into spaces where family members can share joyful moments, create memorable experiences, and feel the warm “rhythm” of love. The event also provides an opportunity for professional skaters to connect more closely with the public, immerse in a lively festival atmosphere, and inspire a healthy, active lifestyle.
World Ice Skating Day is an annual celebration held in more than 47 countries and 180 rinks worldwide to promote the sport to local communities. Against the backdrop of the vibrant sports atmosphere at SEA Games 33 in Thailand, the event in Vietnam is expected to encourage sports participation, boost community fitness, and affirm Vietnam’s growing presence in regional ice skating.
In 2023, during World Ice Skating Day – “Heart to Heart,” Vietnam was ranked second in the “The Best World Ice Skating Day Awards 2023” in the under-500 participants category.
