Hanoi to host first national figure skating championships
VOV.VN - The national figure skating championships, the first of its kind in Vietnam, is set to be staged between October 1 and October 2 at Vincom Ice Rink Royal City in Hanoi.
A total of 17 athletes will compete in the men’s singles and women’s singles events in various age categories.
The championships meet the standards of the International Skating Union (ISU) and will draw the participation of five experts from the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
The tournament will also see the presence of seven local referees who have undergone training courses since December, 2021, and were offered international certificate granted by the ISU in August.
The purpose of the championships is to seek Vietnamese representatives who can compete in international tournaments in the future.
