National ice skating championships kicks off in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The national ice skating championships opened at Vincom Ice Rink Royal City in Hanoi on October 20.

The tournament will see the participation of 100 athletes from clubs across the country, as well as Vietnamese expats abroad.

The players are set to compete in seven categories, including Adult, Junior (male/female), Novice (male/female), Elementary, and Preliminary.

They will also vie for 18 competition categories of speed skating such as Senior (men/women), Junior A, B, C, D (men/women), and Novice A, B, C, D (men/women).

The championships is to seek Vietnamese representatives who are capable of competing in international tournaments in the future, including the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) to be held in Thailand in 2025.

The tournament is due to close on October 22, with the Top 3 of each category being awarded medals, certificates, and other prizes.
