Women’s team to sharpen skills in Japan ahead of SEA Games 2025
VOV.VN - Head coach Mai Đức Chung and his players of the national women’s team are scheduled to fly to Japan on November 21 for a training camp in preparation for the coming 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).
In Nagoya, the players are expected to undergo high-intensity technical training sessions and play three friendly matches to assess the squad and refine their tactics.
This trip is considered an essential part of their preparations, forming a solid foundation as they head toward SEA Games 33, which will take place in Thailand this December. The training camp is anticipated to help the team improve fitness, strengthen mental resilience, and sharpen their competitive spirit.
At SEA Games 33, the women’s team will compete in Group B, which is considered challenging as Malaysia and Myanmar have stable squads, while the Philippines feature several naturalised players.
Ahead of their departure, the team suffered a setback as midfielder Nguyen Thi Van was injured during a training match on the afternoon of November 18.
