Women’s team back from Japan, ready for Asian Cup qualifiers
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese women's national football team returned home on June 18 after a 10-day training camp in Osaka, Japan, to prepare for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers.

During the trip, the team recorded two wins over Tezukayama Gakuin University and Iga Kunoichi Mie, and drew with Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences.
Head coach Mai Duc Chung said the Japanese teams’ higher technical level made the training camp a good fit for Vietnam’s professional development goals. The matches, he added, helped improve individual skills and team coordination.
Crucially, no players suffered injuries during the matches, which Chung viewed as a positive sign ahead of the qualifiers.
Upon arrival, the team headed straight to Viet Tri city in northern Phu Tho province to complete final preparations. In the last week of training, the focus will be on physical conditioning. Coach Chung also said that the official line-up and substitution strategies for each match will soon be finalized.
