Vietnam’s women team top Group A at U23 volleyball tournament

VOV.VN -The Vietnamese women’s team finished first in Group A after enjoying an easy victory over the Maldives at the ongoing Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship – the Dong Luc Cup in Hanoi.

During the first set, the host team were able to thrash their opponent with a one-sided score of 25/1.

The U23 squad continued to dominate the game and enjoyed easy wins in the remaining two sets. The final score after three sets was 3-0 in favour of Vietnam.

Due to the positive result, the Vietnamese volleyball team finished top of Group A and earned a slot in the competition’s quarter-finals.

For the next round of the tournament, Vietnam have been placed in the same group as China, who finished in first place in Group C, Taipei, who finished in second place in Group C, and New Zealand, who finished in second place in group A.
