Vietnamese youth wins gold at Asia chess tourney

VOV.VN - Nguyen Quoc Huy has won a gold medal at the Asian Youth Chess Championship, which has opened in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, in the boys under 12 rapid and blitz.
 

At the event, which runs March 31-Arpil 10, Huy’s teammates have also racked up three silver and two bronze medals in the U14, U18 and U8 categories. 

This year, Vietnam fielded a team of 27 players at the tourney.
