Vietnamese golfers target medals at Asian Youth Games 2025

VOV.VN - Vietnam will field a six-member golf team, including two reigning national champions, at the 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG) scheduled to take place in Bahrain until October 31.

Among the golfers are Nguyen Tuan Anh and Le Chuc An who won the 2025 Vietnam National Golf Championship. Rising star Nguyen Anh Minh, who has delivered strong performances at recent tournaments in the United States, also joins the lineup.

Le Chuc An recently participated in the SAT Thai LPGA Masters in Thailand and ranked 19th in the women's professional division. Meanwhile, Nguyen Tuan Anh won the championship title of the 2025 SINGHA Thailand Amateur Open.

With age restrictions set between 14 and 17 for golfers, the Vietnamese team has set its sights on securing medals at the upcoming AYG.

After winning the 2025 national golf championship title, Nguyen Tuan Anh shared that he wanted to achieve his best results in any tournament and hoped that he would have one international prize, leaving a lasting mark on his career.

Currently, Tuan Anh is ranked 170th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
