Vietnam wins additional gold medals in gymnastics at SEA Games 32
VOV.VN - Vietnamese gymnasts Ngoc Xuan Thien and Nguyen Van Khanh Phong consecutively secured two gold medals during the afternoon of May 9 at the ongoing 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
The Vietnamese gymnastics team performed impressively on the afternoon of May 9, consecutively winning two gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games.
This comes as gymnast Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien performed strongly to strike a gold in the pommel horse event with a total score of 13,450.
Meanwhile, gymnast Nguyen Van Khanh Phong also won the gold medal in the rings event after overcoming Filipino prodigy Carlos Yulo with a total score of 14,200 points.
Right after that, gymnast Dinh Phuong Thanh successfully grabbed the gold medal in the horizontal bar category.
Following the achievements of Xuan Thien, Khanh Phong and Phuong Thanh, the Vietnamese gymnastics team brought home a total of four gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games.
The Vietnamese sports delegation has snatched a total of 37 gold medals until 6pm, meaning they now closely follow the host nation Cambodia on the 32nd SEA Games’ medal table.
