Vietnam to host Asian Muaythai Championship for first time

VOV.VN - The International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) has announced that the Asian Muaythai Championship will be held in Vietnam for the first time this June, bringing together both local and international fighters.

The event will be held from June 20 to June 26 in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.

More than 300 fighters from 30 countries and territories worldwide are set to compete for titles in 28 combat and four performance events.

The national muaythai team will convene on March 1 as they begin preparations for upcoming international tournaments.

They will then fly to Turkey to compete in the IFMA World Championships in Turkey in May.

Following the championships taking place in Vietnam this June, local fighters will continue to challenge themselves in the 2025 World Games in China in August, followed by the Youth Muaythai Championship in the United Arab Emirates in September.

Vietnamese representatives will conclude the year by participating in a competition at the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand in December.
