Vietnam to host first WBC Muay Thai in mid-November

VOV.VN - Muay Thai Rampage (MTR) - Call of Honor is scheduled to be held for the first time on November 19 at the Saigon Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event will attract the participation of several renowned athletes from both Vietnam and abroad.

According to the competition schedule, Truong Cao Minh Phat of Vietnam (world No. 15) will face Mostfa Armand of Iran (world No. 10) in the men’s Super-Featherweight category.

Elsewhere, defending WBC Muay Thai Vietnam champion Huynh Hoang Phi (world No. 8) will take on young fighter El Amghari Ayoub of Maroc (world No. 13) in the women’s Bantamweight category.

Furthermore, local fighter Tran Quoc Tuan will clash with Yassine Haouari of Maroc who has notched up 16 wins.

The tournament will provide Vietnam’s leading Muay Thai athletes more opportunities to enter into high-quality competitions against some of the world's top fighters.

As well as showcasing aggressive and competitive bouts, the event will seek the best fighters for international competitions and bring world-class events to entertain Vietnamese supporters.
