Vietnam to host AFF U19 and beach football championships
Vietnam will host two football events this year, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has announced.
The tournaments include the 2016 AFF U19 Youth Championship in mid-September and the 2016 AFF Beach Football Championship from September 24 to October 5.

The U19 event will be a good practice for regional squads that have earned tickets to the final rounds of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s U19 tournament in Bahrain from October 11-31.
The hosting of the beach football event will assist with Việt Nam’s preparations for the fifth Asian Sports Festival. It will be hosted by the central city of Đà Nẵng from September 24 to October 5, with 14 competitions and 165 sets of medals.
The AFF also announced that the 2016 AFF Women’s Football Championship will be held in Mandalay, Myanmar between 26th July to 4th August 2016; the AFF U16 Championship will take place in Cambodia, and the AFF Futsal Championship will be in Thailand.
