Vietnam prepare for 2026 AFC U17 Women Asian Cup finals
Vietnamese players began their training camp in Hanoi on March 23 in preparation for the 2026 AFC U17 Women Asian Cup finals this May.
A total of 30 players, called up from provinces and clubs nationwide, are taking part in the camp, which will run at the Vietnam youth football training centre in Tu Liem ward until April 9.
From April 10, the squad is scheduled to travel to Japan for an overseas training stint aimed at improving technical standards and gaining international match experience.
The finals of the AFC tournament will take place in China from May 1 to 15, bringing together the continent’s leading teams. Vietnam have been drawn in Group A alongside Thailand, Myanmar, and the host China.
The group is widely regarded as highly competitive, requiring thorough technical and psychological preparation from the Vietnamese team. The current training camp is seen as a crucial stepping stone as it aims to achieve a strong result at the continental tournament.
