Vietnam gears up for AVC Men’s Champions League with 14-player roster

VOV.VN - Head coach Tran Dinh Tien has officially named the 14-man squad set to compete at the 2025 AVC Men's Volleyball Champions League in Japan.

The national roster includes familiar names such as Pham Van Hiep, a SEA Games regular, alongside Nguyen Ngoc Thuan and Tran Duy Tuyen. Setter Dinh Van Duy also makes his return following injury, while Phan Cong Duc has earned his first call-up to the senior team.

Meanwhile, Pham Xuan Sinh and Hoang Xuan Truong have not been selected for the tournament after recent assessments during a training camp in Da Nang.

The team will depart for Japan on May 8. The 2025 AVC Men's Volleyball Champions League will run from May 11 to 18, featuring 12 teams from across Asia.

Representing Vietnam, Sport Center 3 are in Group D and will take on Al Rayyan of Qatar and Al Muharraq of Bahrain on May 12 and 13, respectively.

The tournament’s top two finishers will secure berths at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship.
