Vietnam finishes second at 10th Sanda World Cup with four gold medals
VOV.VN - Local wushu martial artists brought home four gold and two silver medals to rank second in the overall medal table of the 10th Sanda World Cup, held by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) which concluded on April 10 in Jiangyin of China.

On the final day of competition, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy defeated Iran’s Semiromi 2-0 to claim gold in the women’s 60kg category.
In the men’s 60kg event, Nguyen Manh Cuong took silver after a 2-0 loss to Yu Hong Leung of Hong Kong (China).
Earlier in the tournament, three other Vietnamese athletes delivered gold medal wins: Huynh Do Dat in the men’s 70kg, Dinh Van Tam in the men’s 52kg, and Nguyen Thi Lan in the women’s 48kg.
The tournament, held from April 5 to 10, attracted hundreds of athletes from around the world. China topped the overall medal tally.
Vietnam sent a six-member team to this year’s competition, with all athletes advancing to the finals.
Looking ahead, Vietnamese wushu athletes will continue their journey at the upcoming Asian Wushu Championships in July, competing in both taolu (performance) and sanda (combat) disciplines.
