Vietnam’s wushu team secures full berth in World Cup 2025 finals

VOV.VN - All six Vietnamese martial artists competing at the 10th Sanda World Cup, held by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) in Jiangyin, China, have advanced to the final round of the tournament.

Nguyen Thi Lan secured her spot in the women’s 48kg final after an impressive performance in the qualifiers. She will face India’s Chhavi Chhavi on April 9.

In the women’s 52kg category, Ngo Thi Phuong Nga will take on China’s Chen Mengyue for the gold, while Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy is set to face Iran’s Semiromi in the women’s 60kg final.

In the men’s competition, Dinh Van Tam (52kg), Nguyen Manh Cuong (60kg), and Huynh Do Dat (70kg) will battle opponents from China and India in their respective finals.

The tournament runs from April 5 to 10, drawing hundreds of athletes from around the world. Vietnam has sent six competitors to this year’s event, all of whom have earned a place in the finals.
