Vietnam crush China 7-2 in 2026 AFC Futsal qualifiers
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s national futsal team secured a commanding 7-2 victory over hosts China in their second Group E match of the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers on September 22, edging closer to a place in the finals.

Riding high from their emphatic 9-1 win over Hong Kong (China) in the opener, coach Diego Giustozzi’s men wasted no time asserting dominance. Rising star Doan Phat broke the deadlock just 30 seconds into the game, before Ngoc Anh struck twice within the next two minutes to give Vietnam a 3-0 lead after only four minutes.
China tried to respond with sustained pressure, but Vietnam’s well-organised defence and sharp counterattacks proved decisive. Da Hai and Thinh Phat both found the net before halftime, extending the advantage to 5-0.
In the second half, Giustozzi rotated his squad, allowing substitutes valuable playing time. Thinh Phat added his second goal in the 33rd minute, before China managed to pull two back in the 37th and 39th minutes. However, the match ended 7-2 in Vietnam’s favour.
With two consecutive wins from two matches, Vietnam sit atop Group E with six points and are firmly on course for a spot in the final round. They are scheduled to face Lebanon in their last group match on September 24, which will decide the group winner.
