Vietnam clinches eight gold medals at Ju-Jitsu beach championship

Vietnamese team pocketed eight gold, six silver and three bronze medals at the Asian Beach Ju-Jitsu Championship which wrapped up in Sri Lanka on July 31.

Of the total medals, Hanoi athletes contributed six gold, six silver and three bronze ones.

This year, the competition drew the participation of 17 delegations. 

Ju-Jitsu, partly similar to Japanese Judo martial art, was originated in Brazil.

The martial art will be an event for competition in the fifth Asian Beach Games scheduled in the central coastal city of Da Nang in September.
