Vietnam beat Myanmar 5-2 in ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship

VOV.VN - Vietnam women’s futsal team secured a 5-2 victory over Myanmar on February 26 in their final group-stage match at the 2026 ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship.

Vietnam had to come from behind after conceding in the eighth minute, when a misplaced pass from Phuong Anh allowed Thant Zin to lob into an empty net.

Nguyet Vi equalised in the 17th minute, but just 22 seconds later Lwin Thet restored Myanmar’s lead to make it 2-1 at halftime.

The turnaround came early in the second half. Nguyet Vi struck again in the opening minute after the restart, before Bien Thi Hang put her side ahead a minute later from a Thuy Trang assist. In the 26th minute, Thuy Trang set up Bien Thi Hang once more to extend the lead.

Bien Thi Hang completed her hat-trick from the penalty spot in the final minute to seal a 5-2 win.

A place in the semifinals will be secured if the Philippines fail to beat Australia in the remaining group match.
