U22 Vietnam's match schedule and venue adjusted for SEA Games 33

VOV.VN - The U22 Vietnam team will play in Songkhla instead of Thailand’s Chiang Mai at the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced on November 6.

The men’s football tournament features 10 teams divided into three groups (two groups of three and one group of four). Teams will play a round-robin format, with the three group winners and the best second-placed team advancing to the semifinals.

U22 Vietnam, drawn in Group B, was originally scheduled to play in Chiang Mai. Under the revised plan by the host nation Thailand, all Group B matches have been relocated to Songkhla. The team will face U22 Laos on December 4 and U22 Malaysia on December 11.

U22 Vietnam will gather in Hanoi on November 10 before traveling to China for the Panda Cup 2025, where they will play U22 China (November 12), U22 Uzbekistan (November 15), and U22 Republic of Korea (November 18). The team will then hold a training camp in Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City from November 23 to 29, and depart for Thailand on December 2.

Head coach Kim Sang Sik is expected to call up 26 players for the final preparation phase, including eight U22 players who joined the senior national team during the October FIFA Days.
