Vietnam U22 to face three top teams ahead of SEA Games 33

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s U22 men’s football team will compete in the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Team China Panda Cup 2025, an international tournament scheduled in Chengdu, China, from November 12 to 18, as part of preparations for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33).

The four-team tournament will feature strong squads from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Uzbekistan, the hosts China, and Vietnam. This marks the third consecutive invitation for Vietnam’s U22 side to take part in the prestigious CFA-organized event.

In their most recent appearance in March, under acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh, the U22 Vietnam team finished third, drawing 1-1 with the RoK U22, 0-0 with Uzbekistan, and 1-1 with China. Goalkeeper Cao Van Binh was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

The CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 serves as a key step in Vietnam’s preparation for SEA Games 33 and the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Finals.
