Transfermarkt names Filip Nguyen as highest valued player of Vietnam
VOV.VN - Vietnamese goalkeeper Filip Nguyen has topped the list of Vietnamese footballers with the highest market value at EUR550,000, according to renowned German football site Transfermarkt.
The naturalised goalkeeper from the Czech Republic came in with the highest market value on the list of the Vietnamese national men’s football team preparing for the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024.
The 32-year-old player now turns out for Hanoi Police FC. Most recently, he was selected in the national team’s 34-man provisional squad for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
Elsewhere, midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc of Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC ranked second among the local footballers with a market value at EUR400,000.
Duc shared second position with Hanoi FC’s left winger Pham Tuan Hai who has a transfer value of EUR400,000. Hai’s outstanding performance in the national squad at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification round has helped his transfer value increase twice over the past two years.
Defender Ho Tan Tai of Becamex Binh Duong FC was placed in third position with EUR375,000.
Moving down the list, fourth and fifth places went to midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai and defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh, both of whom are playing for Hanoi Police FC and are valued at EUR350,000 each.
The total market value of the Vietnamese national football team reached EUR7.68 million, marking a record high so far.
