Tran Quyet Chien ranked 6th in world billiards rankings

VOV.VN -Vietnamese billiards player Tran Quyet Chien jumped one spot to 6th place in the latest World Union of Billiards three-cushion rankings.

Chien’s new ranking is thanks to his bronze medal display put on at the three-Cushion World Cup in Antalya, Turkey, which wrapped up on February 17.

During the tournament, Chien successfully beat Eddy Merckx of Belgium, world No.3, in the round of 16 and then Choi Sung Won of the Republic of Korea, world No.17, in the quarterfinals.

Of his teammates, Ngo Dinh Nai also climbed two spots to 14th place in the world rankings, while Nguyen Quoc Nguyen remained in 9th position.

The three Vietnamese billiards players will next compete at Survival 3 cushion Master fly in the Republic of Korea, which will be held between February 28 and March 3.
