Tien Minh qualifies for German Open third round

VOV.VN - Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh moved into the third round of the men’s singles event at the US$120,000 German Open badminton tournament on March 3 in Mulheim an der Ruhr City.

World No 42 Minh defeated world No 19 Marc Zwiebler of Germany 21-15, 21-17 in the second round in 40 minutes.

In the third round, Minh will face off world No 8 China’s Tian Houwei, who won England player Toby Penty 2-0 (21-18, 21-14) in the second round.

The tournament runs through March 6.
