VOV.VN - Local badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh successfully qualified for the second round of Singapore Open 2022 on July 13.

Linh, who ranks 59th in the world rankings, successfully beat strong rival Iris Wang of the United States, with her opponent being ranked 26 places higher than her.

Going into the final game, the Vietnamese badminton player looked in complete control as she prevailed over the World No.33 player with the final score of 21-15.

Moving forward, Linh will face off against third seeded Indian player Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, who ranks seventh in the world rankings, in next round.
