Thuy Linh, Hai Dang ready for key Asian badminton tournaments
VOV.VN - Top players Nguyen Thuy Linh and Nguyen Hai Dang are set to represent Vietnam at various Asian badminton tournaments to prepare for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) in Thailand late this year.

The coaching staff of the Vietnamese badminton team announced that Thuy Linh will participate in the IKSAN VICTOR Korea Masters 2025 from November 4 to 9 as part of the BWF World Tour Super 300.
Linh will then travel to Japan on November 16 to participate in the Masters 2025 tournament as part of the BWF World Tour Super 500 expected to attract many of the world’s top-ranked players.
After Japan, she is slated to compete in India - her final international stop before heading to Thailand for the SEA Games 33.
On October 7, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced the latest rankings with Thuy Linh still holding the 18th position in the women's singles.
The Vietnamese player has fully recovered from an injury sustained at the 2025 China Masters in early September. She recently competed in the BXL Badminton Tournament 2025 (BDMNTN-XL) in Indonesia, a high-prize invitational mixed team event not part of the official BWF system.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's top male player Nguyen Hai Dang continues to compete in Indonesia. He has just participated in the 2025 Masters tournament in the UAE and ranked third in the men's singles. The player will represent Vietnam in the Masters 2025 tournament from October 21 to 26 in Indonesia to gain more experience.
