Referee named for Indonesia vs Vietnam match
VOV.VN - Referee Falahi Salman Ahmad of Qatar has been assigned to officiate the match between Indonesia and Vietnam which will take place as part of the second qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.
The match is scheduled to take place on March 21 at the Bung Karno Stadium in Indonesia which can host 78,000 spectators.
Born in 1990, Falahi Salman Ahmad has been a FIFA referee since 2017. He has participated in a number of important football events such as World Cup qualifiers, the AFC U23 Asian Cup, and the AFC Champions League.
He has already officiated a match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, taking over the game between Thailand and China which was played on November 16, 2023, as well as refereeing the semi-final match between Vietnam’s U22 team and Cambodia’s U22 team at SEA Games 30.
During the upcoming fixture, Mohammed will be assisted by Al Naemi Ramzan Saeed, Al Shammari Majid Hudaires, and Al Shammari Mohammed Ahmed.
