Quang Liem victorious in seventh match of Summer Chess Classic
VOV.VN -Vietnamese super grandmaster Le Quang Liem was able to enjoy another successful day as he defeated Xiong Jeffery of the United States in the seventh match of the ongoing Summer Chess Classic which took place in St Louis on June 25.

In their previous meeting, the Vietnamese player had been defeated by Xiong Jeffery after 42 moves.
The positive result leaves Liem on four points after seven matches, putting him among the leading group alongside David Howell of the UK, Elo rating 2692.
In second place with 3.5 points is Sam Shankland of the US, Gawain Jones of the UK, and Xiong of the US.
Dariusz Swiercz remains bottom with 2.5 points.
