After five days of intense competition from September 30 to October 4 at Tien Son Sports Palace and Tuyen Son Sports Village in central Da Nang city, the international pickleball tournament concluded with great success, not only in sporting quality but also in scale of organization and audience appeal.

With more than 7,900 spectators attending in person, the event earned official recognition from Guinness World Records as the pickleball tournament with the largest live audience globally, breaking the previous record held in the US.

Organized by FPT Play in coordination with the Da Nang Pickleball Federation and AAC Company, the tournament attracted nearly 600 professional and amateur athletes from Vietnam and abroad, including world-leading players such as Ben Johns, Tyson McGuffin, and Kaitlyn Christian, alongside prominent Vietnamese competitors including Phuc Huynh, Trinh Linh Giang, and Alix Truong.

Offering professional prizes totaling US$150,000 and featuring an international-standard competition system, the tournament has positioned Vietnam as a new bright spot on the global pickleball map.

The event marks a milestone for Vietnamese sports and demonstrates the country’s ability to host world-class tournaments, boosting its culture, tourism, and international profile.
