Phu Quoc to host IRONMAN 70.3 Phu Quoc triathlon
VOV.VN - The second edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Phu Quoc triathlon is scheduled to take place from November 15 to November 17 at Phu Quoc Marina Integrated Resort Complex.
The main race on November 17 will see athletes from around the world competing in a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike race, and a 21km run.
Along with the main race, the Sunrise Sprint will take place on November 16, with the event being a shorter distance triathlon including a 750m swim, 20km bike, and a five km run designed for beginners, with this being a great way to challenge them and prepare themselves for longer distances.
Additionally, the IRONKIDS Vietnam races, consisting of aquathlon and triathlon events for kids aged five to 15, will be held to promote healthy and active lifestyles for the next generation.
Besides, the Newborns Vietnam Run Out, a three km charity fun run on November 15, will be raising money and awareness for newborns.
Last year Phu Quoc's race, sponsored by BIM Group, made its debut in November, attracting nearly 2,000 athletes from 47 countries and territories worldwide.
The race helped to bring around US$3.7 million to Phu Quoc island city in 2023.
