Pham Le Thao Nguyen finishes runner-up in women’s Titled Tuesday standings

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s No.1 female grandmaster Pham Le Thao Nguyen placed second in the women’s rankings of the prestigious online chess tournament Titled Tuesday on March 3 after competing against a field of leading grandmasters.

Titled Tuesday, one of the most competitive online events organised on the Chess.com platform, regularly brings together hundreds of titled players, including many of the world’s strongest grandmasters.

Unlike many tournaments, male and female players compete in the same field rather than in separate divisions. Female players therefore face male grandmasters directly, with rankings determined by points accumulated across the tournament.

After 11 rounds, the final standings are compiled based on total points, with separate prizes awarded to the top-performing male and female players.

Scoring 7 points from 11 games, including six wins and two draws,Pham Le Thao Nguyen finished second among the female competitors, outperforming dozens of other female grandmasters taking part in the tournament.
