Northern provinces set to host 2026 SEA V.League women’s leg
VOV.VN - Vietnam is expected to stage the opening leg of the 2026 SEA V.League women’s tournament in northern provinces, with the final venue to be confirmed next week, according to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
Federation representatives said on February 24 that three arenas in the north are under consideration as potential hosts. Vietnam will organize the first leg of the women’s competition in August, while the second leg will take place in Thailand.
Last year, Vietnam hosted the second leg of the 2025 SEA V.League in Ninh Binh province, where the national women’s team secured the title.
The SEA V.League features leading volleyball teams from across Southeast Asia. Both the men’s and women’s competitions follow a single round-robin format over two legs, with the top-ranked team crowned champion.
Vietnam has consistently hosted one leg of the women’s tournament in recent editions, previously selecting venues in Phu Tho and Ninh Binh. Home fixtures have drawn full-capacity crowds in support of the national women’s team.
