The match was tightly contested, with Thuy Linh demonstrating solid technique and resilience. However, moments of hesitation and pressure handling affected her play.
The first game remained neck-and-neck at 12-12 before Chiu pulled ahead to win 21-16. In the second game, Thuy Linh struggled to maintain rhythm, allowing her opponent to build a safe lead and close out the match 21-15.
This is Thuy Linh’s fourth runner-up finish in a Super 300 final, meaning she has yet to become the first Vietnamese female shuttler to claim a title at this level.
