Nguyen Thuy Linh advances to German Open semifinals
VOV.VN - Nguyen Thuy Linh has continued her strong performance at the Yonex German Open, securing a spot in the women’s singles semi-finals.

On the early morning of March 1, Linh faced India's Tasnim Mir in the quarter-finals of the German Open 2025. The Indian player dominated the first set with aggressive attacks, edging out a 21-19 victory. However, Linh, born in Phu Tho, mounted a strong comeback in the second set, securing a commanding 21-12 win.
In the decisive set, Tasnim Mir was forced to retire due to injury, trailing 0-7 against Linh.
This marks the second consecutive year that Linh has reached the semi-finals of the German Open.
The Yonex German Open 2025 is a BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament. Nguyen Thuy Linh is the only Vietnamese player in the competition after Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat withdrew. Following this event, she will continue her campaign in France, the UK, and Switzerland.
Linh will next take on Japan’s Riko Gunji, currently ranked 41st in the world.
