Ly Hoang Nam jumps 26 places in latest world rankings
VOV.VN - The nation’s top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam climbed 14 places in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP)’s latest men’s singles rankings to reach 549th position.
This rise can be attributed to his good results recorded in recent matches at the ITF World Tennis Tour M25 in November.
Nam’s current rankings helped him to surpass several famous international tennis players, such as Rafael Nadal, who ranks 664th place, 115 places lower than Nam. However, Nadal’s rankings will soon be improved as he has just announced his return to the sport in early 2024.
This comes after Nam bowed out of the top 500 as he dropped 93 notches to 535th place due to his poor performances in five tournaments held throughout October.
Elsewhere, other Vietnamese tennis player Vu Ha Minh Duc also jumped five places to 1,840th in the world.
