HCM City Women’s FC depart for AFC Champions League in China

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC arrived in China on May 18 in preparation for their semi-final match of the 2024-2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Champions League.

They are scheduled to face Wuhan Jiangda FC of China on May 21.

Among the 21 players called up for the clash are Thuy Trang and K’Thua who played for the Vietnamese women’s futsal team in the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup.

HCM City FC secured their semi-final spot with a dramatic 5-4 victory over Abu Dhabi Country Club from the United Arab Emirates in a thrilling quarter-final match held at Thong Nhat Stadium in early March.

This achievement marks a historic milestone for Vietnamese women’s club football, as the HCM City FC have reached the semi-finals in their debut appearance in the continental competition.

The AFC Women’s Champions League, launched in 2024, is the premier women’s club football tournament in Asia, bringing together the top clubs from AFC member nations.
