HCM City wins 2020 National Basketball Championships
VOV.VN - Both the men’s and women’s teams from Ho Chi Minh City have emerged as victors at the 2020 National Basketball Championships which concluded in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on December 29.
In the men’s category, the side from Ho Chi Minh City successfully lifted the trophy after recording a stellar 82-62 win over the Air Force team in the tournament’s final match.
Coming in just behind the champions were Soc Trang in second and Hanoi in third.
Furthermore, a total of six women’s teams competed in a round-robin format as part of the fight for the championship title.
The women’s team from Ho Chi Minh City went on to win all five matches, thereby defending their championship title and marking the ninth consecutive time that the team has finished first in the tournament.
The runner-up title went to the team from Can Tho, whilst Quang Ninh and Hanoi came in joint third.
