15 teams compete for 2020 National Basketball Championships
VOV.VN - A total of 15 teams from across the country are participating in the 2020 National Basketball Championships which got underway in Nha Trang city, south-central Vietnam on Dec. 20.
The event is made up of nine men’s teams and six women’s teams nationwide.
In the men’s category teams have been divided into two groups and are set to compete in a round-robin format to select the best four teams into the semi-final round.
Meanwhile, six women’s teams will also play in a round-robin format to compete for the championship title.
The annual tournament, organised by the Vietnam Basketball Federation (VBF), is being held with the aim of selecting players for Vietnamese national basketball teams as they prepare for future international tournaments.
