DPRK team triumphs at International Women’s Volleyball Tournament

VOV.VN - The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) team defeated Thong Tin LienVietPostBank of Vietnam 3-0 to claim the championship title in the final match of the International Women’s Volleyball Tournament held in Bac Ninh Province on March 1.

A large number of fans were present at the Bac Ninh Province Gymnasium to watch the final match and the closing ceremony of the tournament.

In front of the talented DPRK team, they show high levels of determination.
Players from the DPRK team, wearing white T-shirts and red trousers, were judged to be stronger than their Vietnamese counterparts ahead of the final match.
Many young and talented stars make up the DPRK team, they are renowned for their high speed and good performances.
The DPRK put on a strong team display and didn’t lose a single set. They showed their superior strength and deservedly won the championship title after winning the match 3-0.
Sub-prizes were awarded to some of the outstanding volleyballers from the tournament. The Best Young Player award went to Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh of Vietnam, whilst the Miss Volleyball award was delivered to Kazakhstan’s No. 7.
The DPRK team won the International Women’s Volleyball Tournament championship title, receiving prize money of US$15,000.
