The victory earned him the men’s singles gold medal and reaffirmed his status as Vietnam’s leading male table tennis player, an all‑round, composed, and increasingly mature competitor.
At the center, spectators witnessed Anh Hoang’s calm, precise, and determined performance. Facing the experienced Duc Tuan, a pride of Hai Phong table tennis, Anh Hoang took initiative, accurately anticipated his opponent’s strategies, and executed a dominant attacking game plan.
Winning four consecutive sets demonstrated his superiority in tactics, physical condition, and competitive mindset. Beyond claiming the national title, the victory confirmed that Vietnam’s men’s table tennis now has a new frontrunner in Anh Hoang.
This achievement continues a string of strong performances from Anh Hoang, following his success at the 2025 National Strong Teams Table Tennis Championship in northern Phu Tho province last September, where he won three gold medals (men’s team, men’s doubles, mixed doubles) and one silver medal in men’s singles.
The conclusion of the 2025 National Top Table Tennis Players Tournament coincides with the national team’s crucial preparation period for SEA Games 33 in Thailand later this year. With this latest achievement, Anh Hoang remains a key figure for Vietnam’s men’s table tennis team at the upcoming games.
