Binh Duong Stadium meets AFC standards for Asian Cup qualifiers
VOV.VN - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has inspected and agreed to let the Vietnam play home matches at Binh Duong Stadium during Group F fixtures in the third round of 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

To prepare for the final qualifying round of the tournament, AFC experts surveyed Binh Duong Stadium on February 19-20 to assess the status of facilities for organising the national team’s home matches.
After their survey, AFC representatives announced that most of the categories of the stadium came up to the standards for playing home matches there.
However, they also stressed that the stadium needs some adjustments and upgrades in several categories.
Accordingly, several functional rooms for referee and referee supervision are needed to be arranged in other locations to ensure compliance with the general standards of the tournament. Moreover, the lighting system is also needed to be upgraded from V.League 1standard to international standard.
In response to the proposal, the Vietnam Football Federation, the Binh Duong provincial Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, and Binh Duong Becamex FC pledged to quickly implement those recommendations.
Vietnam have been drawn in Group F along with Malaysia, Nepal, and Laos.
At home, the national team will play matches against Laos on March 25 and Nepal on October 9 this year, and Malaysia on March 31, 2026.
They will play a friendly match against Cambodia at Binh Duong Stadium on March 19.
