Asian women’s beach volleyball tournament kicks off in Ha Long

The Tuan Chau – Ha Long 2016 Asian Beach Volleyball Championship got underway on the resort island of Tuan Chau in Ha Long city, in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh. 

The tournament draws the participation of 14 teams from eight countries and territories – Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, Hong Kong (China) and Vietnam. 

The event is one of a series of activities of the Ha Long Tourism Week 2016, which aims to promote Quang Ninh, its land and people, to international friends and tourists. 

The tournament will end on May 1.
