Another medal for Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team at ASIAD 19
VOV.VN - Vietnam bagged a bronze medal in sepak takraw after their defeat to Thailand in the semi-final match of the men’s triple (team of three) at the Jinhua Sports Centre Gymnasium on October 6.
This marks the first medal won by Vietnamese athletes on October 6 at the ongoing 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19) in Hangzhou, China.
Previously, Vietnam came from behind to beat Indonesian 2-1 in the final match of the women's quadrant (team of four) and secured a gold medal on October 4.
On October 6 Vietnamese athletes are competing in Karate, Ju jitsu, Wrestling, Sepak Takraw, Archery and Volleyball.
So far, Vietnamese athletes have won two gold, three silver, and 17 bronze medals, putting them in 20th place in the overall standings at this year’s Asian Games.
At present, China top the medal table with 182 golds.
