AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 draw slated for August 10
VOV.VN - The draw for the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 is scheduled to get underway on August 10, as confirmed by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) on June 2.
The regional tournament had previously been due to take place in December last year, but was delayed because of the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
It was subsequently postponed until December 5, and will finish on January 1, 2022, after the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games concludes.
The Vietnamese team were crowned champion of the AFF Suzuki Cup back in 2018 after defeating Malaysia in the final.
At present, the national team are in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) preparing for games in the second qualifying round in the Asian region for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
They will take on Indonesia, Malaysia, and hosts the UAE on June 7, June 11, and June 15, respectively.
