Young Vietnamese overseas commemorate nation’s founders in homeland
VOV.VN - A delegation of 120 young Vietnamese from 27 countries and territories globally offered incense to Hung Kings in Phu Tho ancestral land on July 15 to commemorate the founders of the Vietnamese nation.

The young expatriates have returned to Vietnam for the 2024 Summer Camp, an event that is held annually the young generation of Vietnamese people abroad to learn and explore the beauty of the country’s scenic spots, interact and strengthen solidarity with their peers at home.
At the Kinh Thien Palace on the top of Nghia Linh mountain, in a solemn atmosphere, the young expatriates expressed their sincere gratitude to the ancestors’ merits, demonstrating the nation’s moral principle of “When drinking water, remember its source.” They vowed to unite and contribute to building and protecting the Vietnamese Fatherland.
The 2024 Summer Camp is taking place from July 14 to 29 in many localities across three regions of the country, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Quy Nhon, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan.
There are diverse activities, including paying tribute to ancestors and fallen heroes; meeting between young Vietnamese overseas and their peers at home; learning about the nation’s history, culture, and traditional customs; and visiting major landscapes, tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Vietnam.
