Xelex Vietnam launches new technology product in US

VOV.VN - Xelex, one of the pioneering companies in Vietnam that develops high-quality hardware solutions to meet the needs of work, study, and entertainment, launched its Latimer laptop/tablet in Maryland, USA, on October 30.

The Latimer 2-in-1 laptop/tablet, a technology product representing a collaboration between American and Vietnamese creators, is equipped with effective security features to ensure user safety, according to Nguyen Ai Huu, CEO of Xelex.

This product has been launched after nearly five years of research, said Huu, adding Xelex plans to introduce the Latimer brand into the school system in Maryland in the near future, aiming to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its products and deepen its penetration into the demanding US market.

Huu shared that after numerous discussions with the Maryland state government, representatives from the Vietnamese Trade Office in the US, and Xelex Group, the parties quickly developed a cooperation plan to attract investment for manufacturing equipment in both Vietnam and Maryland. This plan aligns with the trend of encouraging semiconductor manufacturing investment in the US, which President Joe Biden is promoting.

Lawyer Gabriel Christian from GJC and Associates Law Offices represented the Maryland business delegation visiting Vietnam to seek cooperation opportunities in training programs and to advocate for the initiation of future investment sources and funds. The development project for the Latimer laptop/tablet by Xelex marks an encouraging initial success.

According to the lawyer, Latimer has been designed and manufactured in Vietnam with contributions and collaboration from the US. This line of computers features AI and exceptional security functions, which are very important for public organizations and private enterprises to access and benefit from.

The lawyer hoped that in the near future, Latimer can be produced in a factory in the US, using input materials from Vietnam.

The launch marks a significant milestone for Xelex, as it seeks to establish a presence in the competitive US market and enhance its brand recognition internationally. The new product is expected to feature advanced technology, catering to the preferences and demands of American users.
