VOV President welcomes new Indian Ambassador to Vietnam

VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam (VOV) President Nguyen The Ky hosted a reception   for the new Indian Ambassador, Pranay Verma Shri, to Vietnam at VOV headquarters in Hanoi on September 23.

VOV President Nguyen The Ky holds a reception to welcome the new Indian Ambassador Shri Pranay Verma to Vietnam.

During the reception, VOV President The Ky expressed his great appreciation for the role and the strategic importance of India on the world stage, whilst also confirming that India is a close friend of Vietnam.

He said that VOV plans to open a new bureau in New Delhi, India, which will help boost media co-operation between the two countries.

Most notably, Ky pledged VOV’s support for the Indian embassy’s plans to organise a ceremony at VOV’s Theatre which will mark the 150th birth anniversary of Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi, an event that took place on October 2, 1869.   

The top VOV leader stated his optimism about media relations between Vietnam and India and indicated his confidence of further co-operation in the future.

He congratulated the Indian diplomat on his new position and expressed his belief that the new diplomat would make a great contribution to fostering relations between the two nations.

The VOV leader presented gifts to Ambassador Verma.
Ambassador Verma thanked VOV President The Ky for the warm reception and welcomed the establishment of VOV’s bureau in New Delhi which is due to open early next year, promising to facilitate a smooth opening for the office.
